Om Na Ma Si Va Ya, the panchakshara, is an ancient ritual mantra to invoke the Adiguru, Siva, in the panchamahabhuta.

The panchakshara- Na, Ma, Śi, Vā, Ya consecrates the 5 elements in the human body. Na consecrates prithvi tattva (earth element), Ma is for the jal tattva (water), Si energizes the agni tattva (fire), Va for vayu (air) and Ya for the akash tattva (space element).
